The specification for ASTM A182 SS Threaded Cross covers either forged or rolled alloy and stainless steel pipe flanges, forged fittings, and valves as well as parts. After hot working, forgings of the threaded cross dimensions must be cooled to a specific temperature prior to heat treatment. The list of requirements for processing the npt cross fitting includes parameters such as heat treatment type, austenitizing or solution temperature, cooling medium, and quenching. The materials used to construct a threaded cross fitting must conform to the required chemical composition in terms of the elements such as phosphorus, silicon, nickel, carbon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, columbium, titanium. The material for npt cross section has to conform to the requirements in terms to their mechanical properties for the grade ordered such as yield strength, tensile strength, elongation as well as Brinell hardness. All H grades and grade F 63 for npt cross needs to be tested for average grain size.

What is ASME B16.11 Threaded Cross Pipe Fitting?
An Alloy Steel Forged Screwed Cross is a type of pipe fitting which can be used in a place where four pipes meet together. The pipe 1/4 npt cross could have one inlet and three outlets. Or the Threaded Equal Cross Dimensions could also be manufactured with three inlets and one outlet. The diameter of the outlet and inlet in the Threaded Fittings Cross can either be the same or the Screwed Equal Cross inlet and outlet could also be different.
